Week 7: Our First Appointment!

Our first appointment couldn't come soon enough. We met each other at Summit Hospital after work on Monday. We anxiously made our way up to the 7th floor and signed in. Sitting in the waiting room for 20 minutes felt like 2 hours. I had a rough day at work (thanks morning/all day sickness) and was trying to choke down Sweet-Tarts on an empty stomach so I wouldn't pass out when they took my blood. Adrian did his best to ease my anxiety. They called us back to our room and did the typical initial intake. The nurse asked us a ton of questions about our health history and provided us with all the information they flood parents with at the first appointment. They gave us a huge bag full of pre-natal vitamin samples and information pamphlets. The nurse gave me some morning/all day sickness advice and some meds to help. Although I had already met Dr. Halcomb once before, Adrian didn't get to meet her this time.We were told our projected delivery date is September 25, 2013. Ready or not!

Tonight we decided to tell the rest of our close family and friends. There was lots of excitement to say the least!
